The Lead hand also promotes safe work environments and is responsible for the safety of their team. Whenever required, the lead hand also performs the job of Commercial Glazier/Installer and is able to manage multiple functions in a project at once, possesses excellent time management and problem-solving skills, and demonstrates an eagerness to embrace new challenges. You are an expert in Commercial setting with excellent working knowledge of Storefronts, Curtainwall, Aluminum Doors, Windows, and Glass works. You are customer centric focused and thrive in a fast-paced working environment that requires open & effective communication between multiple disciplines.AccountabilitiesSupervise and perform professional installation of products and materials as outlined on work orders.
Oversee and perform Installation and servicing commercial aluminum systems and aluminum doors.
Read and interpret shop drawings and architectural drawings to confirm project requirements for the installation of framing, glass and finishing materials.
Assist in the assembling of scaffolds and operate various heavy-duty equipment and machines such as manlifts, zoom/boom truck, table saw, grinders, drills, and various power tools.
Provide coaching of installation team members to achieve the best experience possible for the customer.
Promote compliance of the Workplace Safety and Health Act and Durabuilt Commercial Solutions Health and Safety policies and procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment.
Monitoring and organizing tools/equipment/material for optimum functionality.
Provide first line resolution of reported issues, improvements to be made and solutions.
Ensures outstanding quality customer service through professional, dynamic, and competent interactions.
Provides leadership to the team and work well with others as well as maintain a positive attitude to support our corporate culture.EducationHigh School Diploma or equivalent.
Glazing apprenticeship would be an advantage.Experience / Capabilities5+ years of experience in the installation of commercial aluminum framing systems as well as commercial doors is preferred.
A valid driver\xe2\x80\x99s license and clean driving record
Must be able to lift heavy equipment and materials.
Experience in the construction industry with window and door experience is preferred.
Willingness to work in all varieties of weather.
Willingness to work out of town as required.
Ability to work at heights.
Must have basic hand tools, some tools are provided.
