General Description
Working with the Logistics/Shipping Manager, this position is responsible for the accurate and timely movement of materials, goods, and manufactured product to internal and external customers, by coordinating the day to day process of shipping, receiving, and proper storage of goods, while following documented procedures and process maps.
This position handles, moves, loads and unloads materials by hand, or using a variety of material handling equipment, and is a shared role, responsible for coordinating the efforts of other material handlers in the Materials department.
Occasionally, this position may be requested to accommodate a late arriving truck.
Skill/Effort Requirements
Have a valid Driver's License
Currently or willing to become a certified forklift operator
Good computer skills

Responsibilities
Following procedures, assists to coordinate the day to day process involved in material handling for the materials department, including shipping, receiving, and the proper storage of goods and materials
Participates and leads in motivating and training other material handlers on processes and procedures.
Participates and oversees Loading of Trucks and verifies accuracy to the commercial invoice, before vehicle exits Standens property
Ensure Truck Drivers on site are wearing required PPE, have checked in with security, are directed to the assigned loading dock, and abide by all safety and other company policies
Follow all Safety processes including chocking tires, and identifying trucks being loaded
Powered Equipment Operation as required.
Maintaining the highest standards of customers service, both internal and external.
Maintain required operating licenses and/or certifications as required.
Accurately pick orders assigned by the logistics/shipping manager in order of shipping dates, and liaisons with sales via cell phone when required.
Make note and inform of any inventory discrepancies, damaged or suspect product
Assemble orders to correct staging areas.
Check staged orders to ensure 100% accuracy prior to loading a truck.
Ensure all product is securely packaged and properly documented when being loaded
Follow BOL and Seal Record process including skid count and weight check.
Participates oversees finished goods receiving - from wet dock
Confirm QA Approval to receive, verify labels and quantity before scanning
Ensure product is received to proper location, both physically and in data entry.
Transport to proper location safely, arranging for FIFO access.
Overseeing and participating in unloading of goods - purchased and delivered product
Unpack, verify, and route goods to appropriate areas.
Data entry of all receipts into Manman
Deliver material to the manufacturing building and administration as required.
Conduct cycle counts as requested
Maintain daily forklift inspections and records, including checking oil levels.
Maintain good housekeeping in shipping yard and surrounding areas, participate in and oversee that product is stored in an organized arrangement, while maintaining a clean area, free of banding, garbage, broken pallets, and any wood particles
Other duties as assigned.
