Reports to: Warehouse & Logistics Supervisor
Department: Warehouse & LogisticsMariposa Dairy is a leading manufacturer of award-winning cheeses based in Lindsay, Ontario. Our organization is a growing and dynamic business and operates in our two facilities just off Hwy. 36 in Lindsay, Ontario.Under the direction of the Warehouse & Logistics Supervisor, this position will be responsible for the effective day to day warehouse operations; ensures the safety of the team, ensures the accurate and timely picking, loading and delivery of customer orders.What we offer:

JOB DESCRIPTION
  • Passionate about safety and promote a culture where safety comes first
  • Ensures Food Safe best practices are always implemented and adhered to
  • Support the warehouse operations to accomplish high productivity, exceptional quality (no errors) and cost-effective solutions on a continuous basis that meet or exceed Mariposa standards
  • Working with other leadership to coordinate activities between departments that will serve both internal and external customers
  • Ensure the receiving of materials in a timely and accurate manner from storage and between Mariposa locations, adhering to inventory management procedures, e.g. FIFO Support and recommend continuously improvement initiatives
  • Assist with month-end closing and year-end physical inventory processes.
  • Manage and ensure daily and weekly cycle counts as scheduled or requested
  • Stage various materials required for daily production or shunting between facilities
  • Ensure all items going into dry storage, coolers or chemical rooms are labeled and are 100% verified
  • Maintain inventory listings of all items in all locations
  • Ensure replenishment stock is received; appropriate people are notified
  • Help unload or load trucks as needed.
  • Invoicing of trucks, preparing BOLs as trucks ship
  • Investigate and troubleshoot inventory discrepancies, develop understanding of Business Central inventory and other various transactions
  • Ensure environmental compliance for the facility by being aware of regulatory requirements and ensuring these requirements are met. Ensure that routine inspections are completed
  • Maintain all aspects of the FSSC \xe2\x80\x93 ISO22000 quality system
  • Develop and maintain positive employee relations through good communication and fair treatment that is consistent with Mariposa Dairy\xe2\x80\x99s core values and objectives
  • Support the development and implementation of exciting new technologies
  • Having a continuous improvement mindset, the ability to solve problems, and a strong desire to learn will allow you to make an impact
  • Adaptable to continuous change is important
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly MS Excel and Power BI.
  • Ensure superior operating performance through identifying opportunities and implementing improvements in costs, and plant operations
  • Other duties as assigned
MINIMUM CRITERIA
  • Experience in a food production operation
  • Experienced working with ERP systems (Business Central Preferred) and RF WMS technology
  • Completion of a post-secondary education in a technical discipline or related industry experience
  • Excellent verbal, written and listening communication skills with the ability to interact at all levels of the organization
  • Must be a self-directed individual, well organized, goal oriented and be an excellent problem solver
  • Ability to adjust to multiple demands, shifting work priorities and change
  • Possession of a valid driver\xe2\x80\x99s license
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a related field
  • Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
  • Flexibility of hours when necessary, overtime, and weekends as needed
  • Ability to obtain Lift Truck certification
