Job Description

Lead hand cake department - Prepare dough for pies, bread, rolls and sweet goods, batters for muffins, to recipes. Bake mixed dough and batters, Layer and decorate cakes. Scale the ingredients. Maintain the inventory. Ensure that the quality of products meets established standards, Inspect kitchen and food service areas, Operate machinery.

Requirements:

- An understanding of pastry production, equipment, and automated lines

- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing goals as necessary

- Maintain a safe and clean work environment and demonstrate a solid understanding of Food Safety

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

- Solution oriented attitude and the ability to adhere to strict quality standards

- Compliance with established policies and procedures, maintain record-keeping for process control, operation needs and personnel requirements

- Investigate and identify issues and recommend solutions

- Must be able to work in both a hot and cold environment.

- Must be able to stand and walk for up to 8 hours per day

Skills/Qualifications:

- The successful candidate will have At least 2 years experience with pastry production.

- Ability to multitask, foster teamwork, comply with production standards, Maintain safe practices and procedures, track progress

- Ability to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift/move 50 Pounds. Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time.

It is a permanent full time position and we will train.

Anticipated Start Date: ASAP

Shift: 7am - 3:30pm Monday to Friday
