We're looking for a skilled Lead Installer / Gas Technician with strong hydronics experience to join our team, lead projects, and help maintain our high standards.

Role & Responsibilities



Lead and perform installations, maintenance, and repair of gas systems, with a strong focus on boilers, hydronic heating, and piping distribution systems.

Diagnose, install, and troubleshoot hydronic systems including in-floor radiant heating, panel radiators, snow-melt systems, indirect water heaters, pumps, and manifolds.

Supervise and mentor junior technicians and apprentices on installation best practices and safety procedures.

Read and interpret blueprints, hydronic piping schematics, technical drawings, building codes, and manufacturer's specs.

Diagnose and troubleshoot gas-fired and hydronic equipment, perform testing, adjust control mechanisms, check pipe connections, and perform leak detection.

Ensure all work is compliant with TSSA regulations, local building codes, plumbing codes, and safety standards.

Coordinate with clients, suppliers, and other trades to ensure installations are completed on time, on budget, and to quality.

Maintain accurate job documentation: time, materials, inspections, and change orders.

Maintain tools, equipment, and ensure clean, safe work sites.

Minimum Requirements



Valid G2 Gas Technician license for Ontario.

Minimum 5 years of experience as a gas technician/installer, with strong hydronic heating and boiler system experience.

Demonstrated experience leading installations and/or supervising crews.

Solid understanding of hydronic distribution (piping, pumps, zoning, expansion tanks, controls).

Strong mechanical aptitude with boilers, gas-burning equipment, and hydronic systems.

Good communication skills (verbal & written), ability to coordinate jobs and manage time well.

Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Assets / Preferred Qualifications

Experience with advanced hydronic applications (multi-zone radiant heating, snow-melt, high-efficiency condensing boilers).

Experience in both residential and commercial boiler/hydronic installations.

Additional trade qualifications (HVAC, plumbing, refrigeration, etc.).

Strong understanding of TSSA, OBC, plumbing codes, and hydronic best practices.

Ability to mentor and supervise apprentices or junior staff.
