We currently have a unique and exciting opportunity available for a Lead Finance Business Partner to join Computershare\'s Commercial Finance team on a permanent basis for our Corporate Trust division.

Reporting to the Commercial Finance Director, Corporate Trust, the Lead Commercial Finance Business Partner role will play a key role in partnering with the leaders of the division you are supporting, providing leading finance and commercial support. The role will work collaboratively across the global leadership team of the division supporting growth, continuous improvement, and project related activity alongside business as usual.

The Lead Commercial Finance Business Partner role operates at a regional or global level and must deliver to a variety of internal and external requirements. They will be a key decision maker and will assist with supporting and delivering key business priorities. The Lead Commercial Finance Business Partner role will require senior financial management experience to enable them to be a key stakeholder in delivering the business strategy for the division which they will support.

The role will work very closely with the FP&A team and will also draw upon a small team of [Finance and Data Analysts] to support delivery of the above as well as oversee the conception and delivery of data driven analysis. There could also management responsibilities for these analyst roles.

  • Play a key role in the global and divisional business leadership by partnering and providing finance and commercial input and support.
  • Required to deliver valuable commercial insights to your division, setting the agenda for data driven analysis to be produced by our pool of analysts. Examples of analysis include:
  • Customer Analysis - pricing, profitability, cross selling, single view, impact of M&A involving our clients
  • Product analysis - volumes, pricing, profitability, viability of new launches
  • Competitor Analysis - CPU differentiation, SWOT analysis, opportunities for competitive advantage
  • Cost analysis - workforce efficiency / productivity, identify and measure factors which drive cost into our business, discretionary spend effectiveness e.g. marketing, consulting.
  • Investment analysis - appraise software development proposals or other projects to maximise returns
  • Drive analytical processes for the division you are supporting including ownership of long term strategic planning to provide a clear insight into future long-term performance of the business. Identify opportunities, review any performance gaps and develop data driven action plans to deliver solutions
  • Advise on financial implications of management decisions as well as establishing the financial soundness of proposed material vendor decisions, business ventures, acquisitions and other corporate development initiatives
  • Provide the link between strategic planning and annual budgeting by setting top down budgetary targets aligned to the strategic plan
  • Use data and partnering with the divisional leadership team to drive key management information and key performance indicators and actions from them. Support and challenge the business to drive for best practice and to develop a culture for innovation
  • Act as a subject matter expert lead to contribute to a range of high value projects.
  • Lead the completion of high-quality business cases / financial modelling for major business initiatives
  • Directly lead or play a leadership role within the Commercial Finance team, inspiring and guiding the analyst pools and collaborating with peers in other divisions across multiple locations.
  • Support embedding the commercial finance operating model including roll out of programs to uplift skill set and drive continuous improvement across the Commercial Finance teams
  • Develop an efficient and effective strategic planning process for the organisation, ensuring all internal and external factors are considered in developing a robust plan.
  • Provide investor relations support to the global team.
  • Support M&A activity where relevant for a particular division, for example undertaking financial due diligence

We are looking for people with these skills:

Required
  • Appropriate senior finance leadership experience i.e. at least 5-10 years\' management experience within a finance function, worked across multiple business divisions and countries.
  • Bachelor\'s degree (B.A./B.S.) or equivalent in finance, accounting or related discipline.
  • CA/CPA qualified (Chartered Institute of Management Accountants) - or local equivalent
Preferred:
  • Master\'s Degree in Business Administration preferred.
  • Experience with visualization software such as Tableau
  • ERP (Oracle, SAP, Workday, other) experience
