Job Summary: As the Lead Fiber Splicer you will be responsible for planning and scheduling splicing work throughout the CFOC network and project sites. Complete splicing work in the field and ensure other splicers are staying on schedule. Looking for someone with a background and experience in splicing, strong administration, organizational and time management skills. An Energetic and focused individual who can make decisions and provide solutions to problems while keeping costs and efficiencies in mind.
The technical requirements:
  • Fiber cable enclosing experience, along with properly opening different types of fiber cables including 12F/24F Flat, Central tube, stranded and flat drop fiber cables.
  • Experience and knowledge with both Single and Mass Fusion splicing
  • Experience with patch panels, transition cabinets, and customer fiber enclosures.
  • Experience in Testing and troubleshooting transport, feeder, or distribution fibers with OTDR, power meter, Live fiber identifier and VFL.
  • Must be able to keep a clean work environment.
  • Willing to work with others and able to work alone
  • Have experience in pulling fiber cables
  • Willing to work out of town on different projects.
  • Clean drivers record

Responsibilities:
  • Understand fiber drawings and support fiber splicers.
  • Schedule and Dispatch Fiber splicers
  • Complete splicing work
  • Maintain Standards documentation and adjust with new technologies.
  • Inventory management and consumable orders
  • Quality checks and Completion Reporting


Qualifications:
  • 5 years as a Splicer
  • Lead or supervisor experience preferred.
  • Background in FTTP build and Distributed split design.
