The Lead Expo plays a critical role in ensuring smooth communication between the kitchen and front-of-house staff. This position is responsible for quality control, plate presentation, and timely delivery of food orders. In a fast-paced restaurant, the Lead Expo is the heartbeat of the line, maintaining order, speed, and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
Order Management
Coordinate and prioritize incoming food orders from servers.
Ensure tickets are read correctly and food is prepared in the proper sequence.
Monitor timing to ensure dishes are sent out promptly and together.
Quality Control
Inspect each dish for presentation, temperature, and accuracy before leaving the kitchen.
Communicate with kitchen staff to correct any issues immediately.
