dedicated and organized Front-of-House Expediter (Expo)
to join our team. The ideal candidate will coordinate communication between the kitchen and front-of-house, ensuring accurate, timely delivery of food and maintaining high standards of quality and guest satisfaction. This role is essential in keeping service running smoothly during high-volume breakfast rushes. Experience in food service or restaurant operations is an asset.
Duties
Coordinate between kitchen staff and servers to ensure orders are prepared accurately and sent out promptly
Monitor food preparation and plating for accuracy, quality, and presentation
Prioritize and manage multiple orders during busy periods
Communicate clearly with BOH and FOH to address missing or incorrect items
Assemble plates at the pass and ensure complete, correct orders before they leave the kitchen
Bag and prepare takeout orders accurately
Keep the pass area clean, stocked, and organized
Assist with food running as needed
Maintain food safety and sanitation standards at the pass
Support POS order flow and ticket organization (experience with POS systems is an asset)
Provide professional communication when interacting with staff and guests
Punch in & pack takeout/delivery orders
Pickup phone calls & take takeout orders.
Be able to memorize menu and garnishing cheat sheet.
Requirements
Previous experience in food service or restaurant operations preferred
Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with both FOH and BOH
Excellent attention to detail -- accuracy is critical in this role
Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
Strong organizational and multitasking skills
Understanding of food handling and basic food safety practices
Experience with POS systems or ticket management is a plus
Reliable, punctual team player with a positive attitude
Requirements
Must be available Saturdays, Sundays, and all stat holidays
Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential
Strong multitasking and organizational skills
Comfortable in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
Able to stay calm and focused under pressure
High attention to detail -- accuracy matters
Clear communication with FOH and BOH teams
Experience in expo or fast-paced food service is an asset (training provided)
Must have a valid SIN to work in Canada
Physical Requirements
Standing/walking for the entire shift (4-8 hours)
Able to lift 20-25 lbs
Fast, efficient movement during peak hours
Uniform & Appearance
Black pants + black shoes
Stacked uniform shirt (provided)
Hair tied back; hair nets as required
No long nails (food safety)
No phones during shift
