About the Role

ESW Building Services Inc. is seeking an experienced and highly organized

Senior Estimator / Estimating Lead

to join our growing team. This position plays a key role in overseeing the full estimating process across multiple construction and renovation projects. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing complex bids, mentoring junior estimators, and ensuring pricing accuracy and competitiveness across all project scopes.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage the end-to-end estimating process for residential and commercial construction projects. Review and analyze drawings, specifications, and contract documents to prepare comprehensive cost estimates. Collaborate with project managers and senior leadership to strategize on project approach, pricing, and value engineering opportunities. Build and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and trade partners to secure competitive pricing and reliable timelines. Oversee and coordinate multiple estimates simultaneously, ensuring accuracy and timely submission. Identify potential cost risks and develop proactive solutions during the pre-construction phase. Maintain detailed documentation of estimates, revisions, and correspondence throughout the bidding process. Support project scheduling and assist in budget development for awarded projects. Provide guidance, mentorship, and technical support to junior estimating staff when required.

Qualifications & Experience

Minimum

5 years of experience

in construction estimating, cost analysis, or project coordination. Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and trade scopes. Proficiency in estimating tools such as

Bluebeam, HeavyBid, or similar software

. Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Proven negotiation skills and the ability to build strong working relationships with internal and external partners. Ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment. A background in

construction management, civil engineering, or a related field

is an asset.
