Lead Educator, Acp Program

Victoria, BC, CA, Canada

Job Description

Organization description

Columbia Paramedic Academy is British Columbia's largest paramedic training institution, offering both Primary Care Paramedic (PCP) and Advanced Care Paramedic (ACP) programs. Our management team and staff embrace progressive approaches to learning and provide an engaging and fulfilling educational experience for our students.

We are headquartered at permanent campus locations in Langley and Victoria, and also deliver our programs throughout the province by rotating through a large number of historically underserved communities.

Columbia Paramedic Academy is part of Columbia Learning Group, a leader in paramedic and first aid training and curriculum development. Our sister companies, Heartsafe EMS and Columbia Medical Training offer various first aid and first responder courses.

Job Summary

We are looking for a knowledgeable and dynamic Lead Educator to join our Advanced Care Paramedic program. The successful candidate will have a passion for teaching and paramedicine, strong communication skills and a desire to support students to be successful. This role is responsible for a single cohort - the Victoria class starting in late January 2026.

Reporting to the Manager, Paramedic Programs, the Lead Educator serves as the primary day-to-day support person for their students and is responsible for scheduling instructional staff and facilitating in-person workshops. The Lead Educator is not required to be an expert in all areas of paramedicine as courses frequently utilize other experienced educators and subject matter experts (SMEs) to lead delivery of the more technical aspects of this training. The ACP program is a challenging one, and the Academy takes pride in finding administrative staff, educators and managers who allow themselves to celebrate our students' successes and feel personally motivated to help when students struggle.

If you are someone with a passion for both teaching and paramedicine, and who wishes to positively mentor and train new paramedics in a supportive learning environment, this is the role for you.

The Lead ACP Educator - Victoria will join an existing team of educators and program support staff, including past Lead ACP Educators who will be able to share their knowledge and familiarity with the curriculum, program, and role itself.
