Role Proposition:
Do you love food and everything about it? We are looking to recruit Lead Cooks for the upcoming winter season. Do you also love skiing or snowboarding? The Lead Cook is an ambassador within the kitchen operations relating to food production, health and safety, sanitation, and food handling.   • Assist in overseeing the culinary team in an assigned kitchen as they work together to prepare and deliver an elevated dining experience for the guest
  • Assists in maintaining kitchen schedule
  • Properly train all kitchen staff members on accurate execution of menu items, ensuring they are of top quality and align with the established vision of the restaurant
  • Assist with service during main meal periods
  • Responsible for all aspects of safe food handling, food preparation, quality and quantity control measures, and execution of dishes.
  • Ensures kitchen is up tp department standards and equipment meets health and safety standards.
  • Ensures opening and closing procedures are followed by the kitchen team
  • Adheres to the cleaning schedule and the equipment cleaning details.
  • Oversees the correct preparation of all special dietary requests as per established guidelines
  • demonstrates dedication to a creative and positive work environment, fostering a collaborative approach with all F&B team members
  • Communicates clearly
  • Assist in the creation of seasonal menus.
  • Any other duties deemed necessary upon request.


Ideal Candidate:
  • 2 years of culinary experience, preferably within a Hotel / Resort environment
  • Production and Banquet experience is preferred
  • Working towards a career in culinary or a Red Seal Certification
  • Holds a current Food Safe Level 1 Certification
  • Thorough understanding of kitchen operations
  • Self-disciplined with a sincere desire to provide an elevated guest experience
  • Self-starts on tasks and can respond to varying business volumes as they relate to impacts on the kitchen
  • Is physically capable of working in a fast-paced environment and safely lifting heavy loads of around 20kg
  • Is physically capable of working on their feet for prolonged periods
