As a lead hand in teds bar and grill, you would be in charge of doing daily orders of product from our in house store room needed for that evenings shift, guiding your team in prepping that nights menu items, creating nightly specials and leading your team through night service.

Required Experience & Qualifications:
Relevant diploma, certification or team leading experience
Registration in an apprenticeship program is an asset
Knowledge of preparing foods and all cooking methods such as roasting, stewing, braising etc.
knowledge of using industrial equipment like the grill, deep fryers, ovens, flat tops ect
Ability to deal with a fast-paced, high pressure environment
FOODSAVE an asset
able to work well in a team
being able to work weekends and holidays are an asset
Responsibilities:
Food preparation
Prepare and cook individual dishes or entire meals
ordering products from our inhouse store room
Ensure sanitary cooking conditions and appropriate safe food handling
monitor or guide kitchen staff
assist in creating daily specials
showing up ready and in uniform before shift
be sure that all dishes being sent out of the kitchen are satisfactory to the guests experience
* lead cooking team as well as night dishwashing team though cleaning protocols before each shift is over
