Dozinghem Industrial Services is a leading electrical utility contractor specializing in power distribution across Atlantic Canada. We're expanding our team to support large-scale civil utility construction projects, including the transformative Cogswell Redevelopment Project in downtown Halifax.

About the Role

We're hiring a

Lead Construction Tradesperson

to join our growing team. This is a hands-on, technical role suited for experienced tradespeople who take pride in their craftsmanship and want to be part of meaningful infrastructure projects. If you enjoy working outdoors, solving challenges, and contributing to a supportive and skilled team, we'd love to hear from you.

What You'll Do

Work with the team to meet project deadlines, including extra hours when needed, while ensuring safety and quality standards. Perform advanced formwork and rebar placement for various utility structures. Install concrete-encased conduit duct banks, electrical conduits, and light pole foundations. Set and verify elevation grades using rotary laser levels, grade rods, and other surveying equipment to ensure accuracy and compliance with project specifications. Work with large pre-cast structures, assisting crane operations for safe and precise installation while adhering to critical safety protocols during high-risk tasks. Competently and safely operate hand and power tools. Safely operate heavy equipment as required for project tasks.

What We're Looking For

We're seeking skilled and motivated individuals who bring:

Experience in civil construction or a related trade, particularly with concrete work and technical installations. Competency in reading and interpreting construction drawings, with the ability to apply correct and accurate measurements in the field. Proficiency with hand and power tools used in construction. A commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and team collaboration. Physical ability to handle labour-intensive tasks in various conditions. Great punctuality, a strong work ethic, and reliability. A valid driver's license and dependable transportation.
