The Opportunity

We are currently seeking a Business Systems Lead - Contract Performance Management to join our North Atlantic Contract Management Performance Team under the umbrella of Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A).This is a permanent position and located in Sudbury. and will report directly to the Process Controls Superintendent for North Atlantic Contract Management Office. This is a hybrid office role requiring a blend of in office and remote work.

In this role, you will provide guidance and support to the Contract Performance Management group in the design, development and implementation of business processes, data management tools, and systems related to Contract Performance Management within Vale\xe2\x80\x99s North Atlantic Operations. You will be instrumental in helping to leverage our robust suite of applications (including SAP, SharePoint, Power BI, Business Objects and more) towards ensuring measurable contract performance, cost control, and adherence to Vale Production System standards.

The roles accountabilities will include:

  • Lead the design, development, and maintenance of the North Atlantic Contract Management SharePoint site, the control of site and information access, and mapping to relevant Regional and cross departmental information sources and sites.
  • Lead the optimization of Contract Management workflows and consolidation tools that leverage information between SAP, Power BI, Business Objects, and SharePoint platforms.
  • Design and automate data management tools to enhance data integrity, streamline reporting & analysis activities, and reduce the need for manual routines and interventions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data management systems effectively and provide guidance on the use of new or existing technology to improve data integrity and quality of reports.
  • Develop guideline documents that standardize system inputs to enable the creation of reliable and accurate business reports.
About You

Education:
  • Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Business Technology & Information Systems, or related field is desirable.
Experience:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in business information management systems design/analysis, process improvement, or related roles is preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years in a supervisor, leadership or coordination role preferred.
  • Experience in Mining, Construction or other complex Industrial settings is considered an asset.
Knowledge & Skills:
  • High proficiency in SharePoint platform design, programming, and maintenance.
  • Strong knowledge in the use of ERP integrated planning and routine management modules,
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and provide actionable insights.
  • Proven ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with coding/scripting or power platform development would be considered an asset.
  • Knowledge of procurement and contract management processes would be considered an asset
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Teams.
  • Proficient in report creation and use of reporting tools i.e. Business Intelligence Reports and ERP Reports (SAP).
