My client is the world\xe2\x80\x99s leading specialist in air transport communications and information technology, they are looking for a Lead Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join their busy team in either Hayes, UK; Aldershot, UK; Atlanta, USA or Montreal, Canada..
The Lead Cloud Infrastructure Engineer manages the technical design life cycle development and maintenance of platforms and related services using existing and emerging technologies.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Leads the designing planning and implementing of solutions that ensure optimum cloud performance and reliability across servers networks and related utilities and hardware that comprise the cloud infrastructure building in continuous process improvement and CI/CD pipelines.
• Work as part of a broader team of problem solvers helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution via automation
• Writes and delivers code for simple components for products and infrastructure providing assistance to junior members of the team.
• Interface with Developers Engineers Architects Ops and Support staff to Architect to design develop and implement cost effective Cloud Solutions using IaaS/PaaS/SaaS so that it is flexible extensible elastic secure and reliable at large scale
• Recommends and participates in the selection of new technologies and technical processes working closely with the Architecture Team to implement the top cloud architecture solutions to successfully meet the strategic needs of the organization.
• Provides expert level support to Operational teams
• Works within a Scrum Team in an Agile method following coding guidelines and practices for all technical processes and documenting solutions

EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS

• University degree or equivalent preferably in Computer Science Engineering Mathematics or similar.
• Where applicable a recognised professional qualification is desirable.

EXPERIENCE

• 6+ Years of experience with the ability to be the lead technical role on complex projects (size or scope) overseeing requirement analysis through implementation and/or support.
• Costing projects of medium complexity.
• Understand the customer\'s business objectives for assigned projects.
• Coordinate multiple technical streams of work to produce a complete solution.
• High-level designs for small to medium systems/applications with input from more experienced staff.
• Understand the concept of IT security and its application to computer systems architecture.
• Sound knowledge of system integration and hardware.
• Sound understanding of our methodologies and practices.
• Understand trade-offs and risks with technical choices
