We are seeking a reliable driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods and materials in a safe, timely manner. Primarily hauling LCV loads from Calgary to Winnipeg on a team, or Non LCV to British Columbia or Saskatchewan.
Duties:
- Safely operate company vehicles to transport goods and materials
- Complete daily logs and comply with hours-of-service regulations
- Maintain accurate records/paperwork of deliveries and vehicle maintenance
- Adhere to traffic laws and regulations
- Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues and any safety concerns
- May be required to chain up from time to time
Experience:
- Minimum 3 year experience Commercial driving, Freight transportation
Qualifications:
Valid Class 1 license
2-5 years Class 1 driving experience & long-haul experience
LCV Certification and experience
Knowledge of rules and regulations regarding safe operation of extended lengths, hours of service, and handling of dangerous goods
Ability to chain up when required
Strong command of English
Comfortable with varying departure times
Comfortable with driving at night
