Advise clients of their legal rights and all matters related to law Perform administrative functions related to the practice of law Plead clients' cases before courts of law, tribunals and boards (lawyers only) Draw up legal documents and prepare statements of legal opinion Negotiate settlements of civil disputes (lawyers only) Represent interests of corporation/employer in all business related to legal matters Supervise professional, para-legal and support staff and articling students Conduct law workshops Research legal precedents and gather evidence Provide public education seminars/sessions Write and edit for legal publications Present evidence in court
