We are looking to hire a talented and energetic associate criminal lawyer, to represent our clients and win their cases.
As an associate criminal lawyer, you will defend all types of criminal charges, from domestic assaults, impaired driving, sex assaults, harassment, theft, fraud, and more.
Your job will be to manage cases from start to end, to get cases resolved (that can be resolved), and to take cases to trial.
You will also be expected to draft Charter and Criminal Code applications, and to conduct bail hearings, peace bond hearings, firearm application hearings, Charter application hearings, and sentencing hearings.
You will be expected to work on a caseload of files independently, with the training and resources of the firm.
We are looking for the right candidate, and we are prepared to consider remote work or in-person work at a satellite location near your home, which we can set up, for the right candidate.
You will need a car, a strong work ethic, and a "can-do" attitude to succeed at our firm. Pay is competitive and will be commensurate with your skill and level of experience.
To qualify, you must be called to the Bar of Ontario, insured and ready to work. Articling students, law students, and university students need not apply.
