Responsibilities

Represent clients in legal proceedings and negotiations, ensuring their rights and interests are protected. Conduct comprehensive legal research using tools such as LexisNexis to support case strategies. Draft, review, and revise legal documents. Provide sound legal advice to clients based on thorough analysis of their cases. Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients to achieve favourable outcomes. Maintain accurate records of all case-related activities and communications. Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations relevant to client matters.

Requirements

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Admission to the bar in Ontario. Proven experience in legal practice with a focus on criminal defence preferred. Strong research skills with proficiency in using LexisNexis or similar legal research tools. Excellent writing skills for drafting clear and concise legal documents. Exceptional analytical abilities to assess complex legal issues effectively. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues from various backgrounds.

Pay: $70,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
