The Role
Our Ottawa office is recruiting for a lawyer with 3+ years of experience in Wills, Testamentary Trusts, and Estates to join our growing Ottawa team.
Requirements:
Knowledge and Skills:
You have a solid knowledge of legal procedures and statutes;
You have strong experience in the preparation of Wills and Powers of Attorney and Testamentary Trusts, including drafting complex Wills;
You have experience in all aspects of estate administration;
You deliver high-quality work;
You have strong drafting and analytical skills and can assess complex issues, while providing a unique perspective;
You have excellent oral and written communication skills and are aware of capacity issues;
You are creative and provide effective legal advice on matters with significant complexity and risk exposure;
You provide legal opinions, arguments and information in a clear and concise manner;
You have excellent time management and organizational skills;
You have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team environment;
You value client service and professionalism; and
You demonstrate initiative.

Minimum Qualifications:
_
You are a member in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario; and
Minimum of 3 years of strong experience practicing in Wills, Estates, and Testamentary Trusts.
Assets:
Experience in Real Estate;
An existing book of business is not required, but would be considered an asset;
STEP membership; and
Bilingualism.
Expected Compensation
Salary is commensurate with experience.
Health benefits are provided after your first three months of employment.
