Neighbourhood Heroes is hiring reliable, motivated team members for our part-time Lawn Care Technician role. This is hands-on work with real responsibility, steady hours, and opportunities for growth in a student-led company. Technicians operate commercial equipment, service residential and commercial lawns, and, on many routes, drive Tesla Model 3s from our electric fleet.

Compensation
$19/hour starting wage
1% commission on upsells to active customers
3% commission on services/packages sold to new customers
Overtime at 1.5x after 8 hrs/day or 40 hrs/week
1 paid sick day per month (unused days stack)
Paid weekly
Schedule:
20-30 hours per week
Monday to Friday
Shifts typically 6:45 AM to 3:00 PM
Seasonal part-time role with potential year-round opportunities

Job Responsibilities
Lawn & Property Services
Mow, trim, edge, and maintain lawns to company standards
Perform lawn aeration and overseeding
Apply herbicides and fertilizers following Alberta regulations
Operate electric and gas-powered equipment safely
Maintain clean and professional results at every property
Vehicle & Equipment Operation
Drive Tesla Model 3s or work trucks on assigned routes
Perform basic equipment checks
Follow all safety and PPE protocols
Customer Interaction
Communicate respectfully with customers when present
Leave accurate service summaries
Request Google reviews from satisfied clients
Reporting & Completion
Mark visits as completed or unserviceable in the app
Report issues or rescheduling needs to the office
Return equipment and maintain a tidy workspace

Requirements
Valid 3-year driving abstract
Minimum 3 years of insured driving experience
Physically capable of operating push mowers, aerators, and other tools
Reliable, punctual, and comfortable with early mornings
Strong communication skills and a positive attitude
Able to work independently and follow detailed instructions
Comfortable driving larger vehicles (training provided)
