We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Landscape & Snow Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic team. This is a year-round role where your expertise will directly contribute to enhancing and maintaining the beauty and safety of our clients' residential and commercial properties. The ideal candidate will have a passion for outdoor work, strong mechanical knowledge, and hands-on experience with a wide range of tools and equipment. From creating lush, beautiful landscapes in the spring and summer to ensuring safe, accessible properties in the winter, this position offers variety and challenge in a supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Lawn & Landscape Care (Spring/Summer/Fall):
Perform comprehensive lawn maintenance, including mowing, trimming, and edging, to ensure healthy turf and superior aesthetic appeal.
Conduct landscape maintenance duties such as planting flowers, shrubs, and trees, as well as weeding and garden bed upkeep.
Perform tree care activities, including trimming, pruning, and safe removal practices.
Operate and maintain a variety of hand tools, power tools, and heavy machinery.
Snow & Ice Management (Winter):
Operate snow plowing equipment, including trucks with plows and skid-steers, to clear parking lots, driveways, and walkways.
Perform snow shoveling and salting/de-icing operations to maintain safe access for properties.
Conduct pre- and post-season inspections and maintenance on all snow removal equipment.
General Duties:
Ensure all equipment and machinery are properly maintained, cleaned, and stored.
Promptly report any equipment malfunctions or needed repairs to the supervisor.
Collaborate effectively with team members to complete projects efficiently and to the highest standards.
Strictly adhere to all company safety protocols and procedures at all times.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Proven experience in lawn care and landscape maintenance.
Strong mechanical knowledge of lawn care equipment, power tools, and machinery.
Proficiency in various lawn care techniques (mowing, fertilization, pest control) and landscape maintenance (gardening, horticulture).
Ability to perform tree trimming and general tree care tasks.
Knowledge of irrigation systems is a strong asset.
Experience operating snow plowing equipment is required.
Ability to work outdoors in all varying weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, and precipitation.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality, meticulous work.
Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects, bend, and stand for extended periods.
A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required.
