Job Description

The Lawn Maintenance crew is responsible for all aspects of safe and efficient lawn and property maintenance, including but not limited to the following:

• Operating professional lawn mowers
• Operating leaf blowers and string trimmers
• Operating mechanical sweeping and dethatching equipment
• Operating mechanical hedge trimmers
• Spreading mulch in gardens
• Raking debris and leaves
• Assisting with other landscaping jobs as required
• Maintaining all equipment

Job Type / Category

• Seasonal work - Early April to mid-November
• If you are a student looking for April to September work please be specific on application. We will consider you for summer employment
• There is potential to be rehired for the position in future years

• You must have your own, reliable method to get to work

Required Education, Skills and Qualifications

• High School Diploma
• Clean G or G2 drivers license preferred, but not required
• Previous experience working in the lawn care industry, farm work or any outdoor work an asset but not essential. We are happy to train a willing and keen person.
• Willing to support employees who after working for a minimum of 1 season are interested in pursuing an Apprenticeship as a Horticultural Technician through the Apprenticeship Program.

Job Type: Full-time Salary: $17.00-$19.00 per hour Schedule:

• 10 hour shift
• 12 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Sackville, NB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

Experience:

• Landscape maintenance: 1 year (preferred)
