Overview

We are seeking a

Law Clerk

to join our team on a

full-time, permanent

basis. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. The position is for an in-office role.

Responsibilities

Drafting court materials - including Applications, Answers, Motions, Conference Briefs, Offers to Settle, Affidavits, Orders Arranging service of, and filing court materials, Assembling materials, including financial briefs, exhibits to affidavits and disclosure briefs Preparing correspondence, both independently and from instructions, Opening and closing files, conflict checks, time entries Liaising with clients to obtain information, including occasional meetings with clients Communicating with other law firms and court staff around scheduling and administrative matters

Qualifications

Law Clerk Diploma or ILCO or experience as a Family Law Clerk or Paralegal,

Proficiency with MS Word/Excel/Outlook, Adobe Acrobat Knowledge of, or ability to learn industry-specific software, including LEAP, DivorceMate, Case Centre, Justice Services Online Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks Ability to work both independently and cooperatively with other team members Positive and team-oriented approach Excellent keyboarding skills Knowledge of the Family Law Rules and/or Criminal Proceedings Rules, and related forms, is an asset

Compensation and Details

Wage is competitive and based on experience Paid time off per year Casual dress code
