Mississauga Law Firm seeking an experienced Law Clerk/Legal Assistant. Minimum 2 to 3 years family law and litigation experience is required. Proficiency in Word, Divorcemate, PC Law, Canlii would be an asset.
Responsibilities include:
Schedule appointments
Manage emails, correspondence, client meetings, court dates and intake of client information Coordinating and scheduling meetings conferences, cross examinations and mediations with counsel and other parties.
Managing Electronic filing of court documents with the court and on JSO and Caselines and tracking confirmations and status of uploaded court documents served and filed with the court.
Maintain client information to ensure they are received in a timely manner and saved in accordance with firm protocols. Organization of client files electronic and hard copy, and ensuring all relevant documents are accurately filed and easily accessible
Manage lawyers calendar, including diarizing and ensuring deadlines are met.
The ideal candidate must be able to work independently efficiently and be focused on attention to detail.
Experience in Family Law, Wills and Estates, Corporate and/or Civil litigation is required.
