Law Clerk/case Manager

Job Description

Case Manager: As a Case manager, you will be responsible for supporting the lawyer with day-to-day file management. They ensure case files and documents are organized and readily available for a lawyer. This role also involves assisting the lawyer in optimizing the process of case load management, as well as providing client guidance in situations the lawyer is unavailable. Case Manager Duties: o They keep the clients informed by maintaining contact and update the client on the progress of a case. o They also act as lawyer representative to interact with clients during a case management process. o They must have strong communication skills necessary to obtain detailed information from clients, adjusters, lawyers, doctors and other professionals. o Their work description may also involve serving as a law firm's frontline personnel; therefore, they are required to establish good working relationship with clients and adjusters. o They keep cases organized by establishing and organizing files; monitoring calendars; meeting deadlines; documenting actions; inputting information into file database and case management software; confirming case status with the lawyer. o Case manager utilize computer information systems (CIS) to effectively organize and manage legal case files. o They conduct research to obtain evidence or other useful information about a case. o They are responsible for scheduling client-lawyer meetings and also manage lawyers court schedule to ensure case preparations are concluded before a trial. o Maintains case costs by verifying outstanding balances with attorney, clients, and providers. o Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments. o Other duties as assigned Case Manager Skills and Qualifications: o Management Skill: Case manager are adept at coordinating and organizing the lawyer's case load to ensure effective preparation for legal proceedings o Interpersonal Skill: Case Manager are able to interact with different clients in order to obtain correspondence and provide response to client enquiries o Communication Skill: They are well versed in clearly communicating with lawyers and clients to help establish the facts of a case. o Education: Paralegal/Law Clerk or relevant education. o 2 years experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.50-$25.00 per hour
