Open, manage, and close client files (physical and digital)
Draft, edit, and format legal documents, correspondence, motion records, affidavits, and court materials (electronic and hard copy)
Use ACL and GhostPractice to manage files and case documents
Prepare and file court documents in compliance with procedural rules
Manage and organize correspondence via document management systems
Handle internal/external communications (emails, letters, calls, memos)
Track deadlines and manage bring-forward (BF) system
Maintain lawyers' calendars, book meetings, and coordinate calls
Prepare, docket, and follow up on invoices and outstanding accounts
Perform dictation, scanning, photocopying, and faxing tasks
Qualifications:
Minimum 10 years of legal assistant/law clerk experience
In-depth knowledge of Civil Procedure, Construction Act, and Liens
Legal Assistant or Law Clerk diploma (or equivalent experience)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), Adobe Pro
Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills
Experience with ACL and GhostPractice an asset
Fluent in English; French is an advantage
