Job Description

We are currently seeking a skilled machinist to join our lathe department. We have one opening available, which may be filled on either a Manual or CNC Lathe, depending on the successful candidate's experience and preference. Internal staffing flexibility allows us to accommodate either role.

This position involves the precision machining of various hydraulic components, primarily using steel and aluminum materials. While we will provide training specific to our product line, a solid understanding of lathe operation and machining is essential. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and committed to working collaboratively with our team to meet production deadlines.

Responsibilities:

Set up and operate lathes to manufacture precision components in accordance with engineering drawings and specifications. Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and job orders to determine machining requirements. Utilize hand tools and measuring instruments to inspect and verify part dimensions and tolerances. Monitor machine operations to ensure optimal performance and make adjustments as needed to maintain quality standards. Conduct routine maintenance to ensure equipment remains in proper working condition and minimize downtime. Adhere to all safety guidelines and maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work environment.

Requirements:

A minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience operating lathes. In-depth understanding of machining principles and techniques. Proven ability to accurately read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints. Proficiency in the use of precision measuring instruments, including calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
