Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Large Format Print Operator to join our dynamic team. The Print Operator will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining printing equipment to produce high-quality printed materials. This role requires a keen eye for detail, technical proficiency, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Skills

Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and Pre-press software

Experience with PMS, CMYK and GRACOL quality standards system and the ability to accurately perform colour corrections and colour matching

Experience with flatbed digital printers and roll to roll inkjet printers, Laminators and Graphtec.

The ability to troubleshoot and maintain equipment on daily basis, experience with various substrates and media

Excellent customer service mindset, for both internal and external clients

Good organizational skills with an exceptional ability to focus on the finer details

Clear and concise communication skills, both written and verbal

The ability to schedule and prioritize jobs to meet client deadlines

A demonstrated commitment to continuous learning

Excellent teamwork and problem solving skills

Responsibilities

Review work orders to determine print job specifications (color, # of copies, etc.)

Perform file pre-flight and processing tasks

Calibrate and adjust printing equipment (replace ink, print heads, load substrate etc.)

Ensure quality control checks are completed during and after print run

Perform daily maintenance procedures as per manufacturers specifications and trouble-shoot minor equipment problems and make adjustments as required

Accurately record all charges on work orders

Multi-task between jobs to make effective use of equipment and time

Monitor and maintain material inventories

Assist with finishing/binding/mounting/laminating/packing of jobs

Source various means of information to solve problems and identify new applications

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00-$24.00 per hour
