Title

: Project Coordinator

:

The project Coordinator is responsible for planning and implementing NAFC Cree and Dene language program. The program is designed to work within the school's as well as membership and community. The project Coordinator position is responsible for organizing programming and education outlined in collective agreements set out by funder. The Project Coordinator is responsible for following budgets, ensuring they are utilized in the outline budget provided. The Project Coordinator is also responsible for all reporting related to the programs. This position is required to strategically plan, and coordinate programs to welcome, engage, and teach about historical, traditional Indigenous Culture.

Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to

:

- Provide completed evaluations and statistics of programs, by documenting the effectiveness of programs

-Work closely with facilitators, Elders and Knowledge Keepers for programming, and program layout

-Organize, plan, support all activities and programs

-Ability to network, engage and build relationships with facilitators and service providers

-Responsible for tracking hours on time sheets of program assistants/facilitators/honoraria

-Build and maintain a relationship with partnerships

-Participate in workshops and programming run by other coordinators as needed

-Work with Rural Communities and may have to travel

Responsibilities - General



Establish professional working relationship with Executive Director, Operations Manger and Staff

Culture -Take personal responsibility to increase sensitivity, awareness, and safety in both professional conduct and with work-related deliverables

Adhere to policies and procedures, strategic plan and By-laws of Nistawoyou Association Friendship Centre

Maintain professionalism

Responsibilities - Administrative



Record and document all necessary information required by the funder.

Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

Ability to guide and facilitate change as well as anticipated future change in service delivery and develop strategies that optimize resources to improve efficiency and quality of care.

Ability to complete administrative paperwork (Monthly reporting to executive director, recording appropriate statistical information, etc).

Qualifications

:

-Ability to pass Police background check

-Ability to pass children vulnerable check

-Maintain confidentiality

-Microsoft Word and Excel knowledge

-Previous experience implementing programs and working with clients/membership

-Previous Coordinator experience

-Standard First Aid/CPR

-Grade 12/GED

-Must have knowledge of Treaty 8 Territory and its Culture

- Drivers License (required)

Position Profile

:

This is a full-time, Monday to Friday (35 hours per week) Position. Nistawoyou Association Friendship Centre is Open 8:30-4:30pm. The Coordinator will require evening and weekends to fulfill programming and workshops.

Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: From $30.00 per hour
