Work Arrangements
This temporary part-time (minimum 4 hours per week) position is available starting January 4, 2023 to August 9, 2023. Hours of work are as per lab schedules set each semester. At this time, work shifts are anticipated to be Wednesday mornings only for the Winter 2023 semester. The number of hours per semester differ based on course offerings and demand. Shift days and times may change depending on the Department's need. Occasional evening and/or weekend work may be required. The position is located at the New Westminster campus; however, successful candidate must be available for occasional work at the Coquitlam campus.

The Role
Facilitate student engagement in oral/aural, audio/visual and/or reading/writing learning activities to supplement instruction in English Language Learning and Acquisition (ELLA) or American Sign Language (ASL) courses. Activities may occur in a classroom, language lab or experiential settings, on or off campus.
Responsibilities
1. Facilitate student engagement in lab-based learning activities (conversational and/or writing, as appropriate):
a. Review weekly lab lesson plans prepared by course instructor(s) to familiarize self with proposed learning activities and instructions
b. Complete any necessary preparation for these learning activities, including equipment set up.
c. Lead learning activities in classroom, lab or experiential (on- or off-campus) setting, as appropriate
