Tasks

Assist with landscape constructions Weed, prune and trim trees and plants Rake and collect refuse Remove litter and garbage Cart and spread topsoil and other materials Lay sod or seed Plant bulbs, flowers, shrubs and trees Apply fertilizers Repair and maintain equipment Write daily basic progress reports Water and tend to plants, lawns and/or gardens Operate and maintain landscape maintenance equipment Load and off-load machines Load and unload vehicle Load, unload and transport construction materials Estimate materials and labour required for production Dig ditches and trenches Pave and rake asphalt Operate hoisting and lifting equipment Cut and trim bricks and concrete blocks to specification using hand and power tools Shovel cement and other materials into cement mixers, spread concrete and asphalt on road surfaces using shovels, rakes and hand tampers
