We are seeking a skilled Equipment Mechanic to join our team, responsible for maintaining and repairing a variety of machinery used in landscape maintenance, horticulture, construction, and irrigation systems. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and hands-on experience with hand tools and power tools, ensuring equipment operates efficiently and safely. Duties

Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on equipment such as excavators, irrigation systems, and gardening tools Troubleshoot mechanical issues and repair or replace faulty components promptly Maintain and repair landscaping machinery, including excavators and other heavy equipment Utilize hand tools and power tools to carry out repairs and maintenance tasks Conduct system diagnostics to identify mechanical or operational problems Assist with the installation of new equipment and systems as needed Keep detailed records of maintenance activities and repairs performed Ensure all work complies with safety standards and company policies

Skills

Proven experience with excavators, irrigation systems, gardening, horticulture, and landscape maintenance equipment Strong mechanical knowledge related to construction and landscape machinery Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools for repairs and maintenance tasks Knowledge of preventive maintenance procedures for heavy machinery Ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues efficiently Familiarity with safety protocols related to equipment repair and operation Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
This Equipment Mechanic role is vital for maintaining the operational efficiency of our landscape and construction equipment fleet. Candidates should be detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and eager to contribute their technical expertise to support our ongoing projects.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.62-$49.14 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 88 per week
