Job Summary





Bring your creativity to one of Alberta's leading landscape teams. At Salisbury, we design and build premium residential landscapes that inspire and endure.



Reporting to the General Manager, the Landscape Designer is responsible for designing, estimating, and selling residential landscape projects. Working with both Salisbury Greenhouse and Salisbury at Enjoy, this role provides client consultations, develops innovative designs, and ensures successful project delivery from concept through completion.

Key Responsibilities





Conduct client consultations at both greenhouse locations and on-site as required. Translate client needs and preferences into creative, functional, and budget-conscious landscape designs. Generate accurate estimates and detailed proposals to support project sales. Manage client relationships throughout the design and installation process, ensuring a positive customer experience. Actively prospect and build a referral base to grow new business opportunities. Prepare complete job files for the landscape installation team. Develop high-end, innovative designs tailored to premium residential clients. Oversee multiple projects simultaneously, balancing timelines, budgets, and client expectations. Conduct site visits to monitor progress, resolve design issues, and ensure alignment with the client's vision. Lead client walkthroughs during installation and upon project completion. Manage project billing, payment collection, and documentation. Maintain consultation tracking sheets and provide weekly updates. Perform other related duties as required to support the landscape team.

Qualifications & Skills





Minimum 3 years of residential landscape design experience (portfolio of work required). Minimum of 3 years of estimating experience Strong ability to clearly present and explain design concepts to clients. Knowledge of Edmonton-zone plant material and landscape construction methods. Understanding of installation practices Excellent communication and relationship-building skills. Ability to manage multiple clients, projects, and deadlines with professionalism. * Proficiency in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Dynascape, or equivalent) preferred.
