Landscape Construction Labourer

Position:

Permanent, full-time
Start date: As soon as possible
Hours: Typically, 7:30am to 3:30pm, Monday to Friday *may vary by Foreperson
Pay: $18-$26 per hour (dependent on landscape construction experience)

Role Overview:

As a Landscaping Labourer, you will support our crews by assisting with site preparation, installation of hardscape and softscape elements, and general landscaping tasks. Whether you're new to the trade or have experience, you'll work hands-on with tools and materials, follow safety protocols, and help build beautiful, lasting outdoor spaces. This role offers a great opportunity to develop your skills and grow within a supportive team environment.

Job Duties:

Construction of a wide variety of landscape structures such as water features, retaining walls, fences, paths, etc. Load, move and transport building materials using hand tools, wheelbarrows, carts, and machinery Assist with site preparation and clean-up Work closely with Lead Hand and Foreperson to ensure timely project completion Maintain and clean water features, including ponds, fountains, and similar structures, to ensure proper function and appearance Operate hand and power tools and equipment including cut-off saws, jackhammers, drills, and heavy machinery Maintain cleanliness of both job sites and equipment Perform daily maintenance on tools and equipment by conducting inspections, cleaning and lubricating Snow removal during winter months (plowing, brining, shoveling and salting

Essential Skills and Requirements

:

Reliable transportation to job sites or designated meeting points is required. Access to your own vehicle is a strong asset. Fluent in English Must be able to lift 50lbs repeatedly on a daily basis Must have steel-toed boots

Preferred Qualification:

Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle Experience towing trailers Experience operating landscape equipment and machinery Rubber/gum boots for wet condition
This position is predominantly outdoors and requires individuals who are comfortable working in various weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and direct sunlight. The work involves extended periods of standing, walking, lifting, or performing tasks outside on a daily basis. Applicants should be prepared for a physically active role and must be able to perform job duties in an outdoor environment year-round.
