  • Retrieve and assemble required composite materials including the replenishment of material dispensing systems
  • Handle tools in a safe manner and follow safety procedures
  • Read and interpret work orders and other instructions
  • Chop shop operations including rolling of parts in molds, de-mold parts and moving tools and parts into and out of chop shop
  • Green trimming of parts
  • Trim, grind and drill parts
  • Hand lay-up of FRP parts (e.g., maws, half-maws, custom parts, orifice plates)
  • Clean and prepare molds
  • Carry out QC tests or inspections as required
  • Crate finished goods
  • Support the training of other Laminators
Other Requirements:
  • Demonstrated ability to work safely, accurately, and efficiently
  • Coordinate and adhere to quality checkpoints
  • Maintain and troubleshoot equipment as required
  • Troubleshoot product defects as required
  • Maintain work area in clean and orderly manner
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting, carrying, kneeling, and standing for prolonged periods of time
  • Must have good vision (with or without corrective lenses)
  • Responsible, self-motivated, team player with strong work ethic
  • Comply with production, quality, safety and employment policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • All other duties as assigned


Qualifications

  • High School or GED Diploma
  • Minimum of 12 months of experience in a FRP manufacturing work environment is an asset
  • Demonstrated ability in the use of basic multiple hand tools including pneumatic and electric powered tools
  • Ability to read and interpret written instructions
  • Basic math ability
  • Able to read and write English
  • Ability to learn and pass crane and other safety training
