Job Title: Beach House Manager

Reports to: Crystal Shores Resident's Association Board of Directors

Salary Range:

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:



Responsible for to provide leadership and oversight for all aspects of the day to day operation of the Crystal Shores Beach House including but not limited to:

Operations:

Oversee the maintenance of Facility and Grounds completed by maintenance staff

Oversee the maintenance of equipment and supplies completed by maintenance staff

Staffing:

Posting, hiring, orientations, and evaluations of all staff

Staff meetings, in-services and team building events

Schedule and provide supervision to all Beach House Staff

Ensure all staff receive training and meet the Alberta Employment Standards and OHS standards.

Marketing/Communications:

Oversee the updating and maintenance of the Beach House website completed by the Office staff

Lead the production and distribution of New Member package

Oversee the update and management of all Beach House social media sites

Oversee the update and management of the Beach House Facebook page

Special Events:

Plan a 4-season program calendar to include a variety of events and activities for registered members and guests.

Lead all aspects of planning and execution of these events and programs with support from staff and volunteers,

Plan and execute seasonal Special Events - including but not limited to a Children's Christmas Party, Member Lunches, Xmas Lunches, and other events for the enjoyment of the members.

Promote and advertise all programs and special events with members and in the community.

Promote the facility for rent and use by member and to outside parties.

Concession

Oversee the operation of the concession throughout the summer period.

Ensure staff are trained to Alberta Health standards and ensure they being adhered to.

Ensure all staff in the concession are trained and adhere to all food handling and safety protocols

Job Title: Beach House Manager

Reports to: Crystal Shores Resident's Association Board of Directors

Financial:

Preparing, updating and presenting the yearly operation budget to the Board of Directors

Coordinate with the bookkeeper to ensure financial matters are completed including A/R, A/P, bank reconciliations and monthly financial reports

Complete and submit tax remittance forms, workers' compensation forms, pension contribution forms and annual GST remittance

Responsible for the invoicing and collection of encumbrance fees and providing a report to the Board of Directors on overdue accounts.

Responsible for contacting member related to all outstanding lake fee invoices before going off to collections

Complete any Federal, Provincial and Municipal grant applications the Beach House is eligible for

Procurement of all goods and services required for the day-to-day operation of the Beach House. Written quotes are to be submitted to the Board of Directors for any goods or services over $2000 in value

Making deposits and payments at the bank as required

Submitting payroll information to payroll system bi-weekly.

Verifying work schedule to hours worked by staff.

Occupational Health and Safety:

Develop and maintain OH&S program that complies with all OH&S regulations

Submit all monthly incident forms and any WCB claims to Board of Directors

Ensure all staff receives mandatory safety training i.e. 1st Aid certification and remain update on all certifications.

Maintenance of Food Safety Standards

Other:

Assist in the preparation of the Board Meeting agendas and AGM and act on direction provided by the Board

Responsible to create and implement operational procedures in conjunction with the Board of Directors

Responsible to maintain update on the Beach House member rules. Ensure the updates are posted and accessible to all members. Ensure staff has received adequate training on all updates.

Assist with any Beach Attendant or Office Assistant duties as required. (see position descriptions of Beach Attendant 2's and Office Manager)

Participate in relevant professional training opportunities

Attend meetings of other Lake development facilities

SKILL REQUIREMENTS



- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of products

- Creativity and strong project management skills to develop and implement programs and events

- Excellent oral and written communication skills

- Superior customer service and organizational skils

- Strong leadership skills and can adapt to a fast pace, high energy environment,

Job Title: Beach House Manager

Reports to: Crystal Shores Resident's Association Board of Directors

- University Degree in Recreation, Management, or equivalent and 5 year's minimum related experience.

- Previous supervisory skills in a service industry would be an asset

- Standard 1st Aid certification

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
