Mission

Terus Construction is seeking labourers to fill seasonal, hourly positions on paving & civil construction crews in Smithers, BC. These positions should be considered \'fulltime\' with overtime and weekend work expected from May to November. Candidates should possess a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn about the industry and work according to company and industry safety standards. These positions would suit candidates looking to gain experience working in and around mobile construction equipment.

Duties/Tasks:

• Shovel, rake and wheelbarrow work
• Site cleanup and housekeeping
• Safe operation of hand tools and small compaction equipment
• Assisting mobile equipment operators with various tasks including but not limited to:

• Site grading
• Material placement
• Preventative maintenance
• Assisting with the set up and placement of signs, barricades, cones and other traffic control devices

Requirements:

• Compliance with the company\'s drug and alcohol policy, including pre-employment testing requirements.
• Adherence to all company safety policies and procedures.
• Must demonstrate the capability to identify safety hazards.

Must be an effective communicator and a team player
