Overview

Ossa Terra is an earthworks and demolition company based in southern Alberta. We are seeking a hardworking Laborer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for helping in the shop, various construction tasks, ensuring that projects are completed safely and efficiently. This role requires physical stamina, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work collaboratively with other team members on-site.

Responsibilities

Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment as needed. Pick up and deliver parts, field tools, and supplies for job sites or the shop Maintain a clean and organized job site by removing debris Operate basic hand tools and power tools Follow instructions from supervisors to complete tasks in a timely manner. Adhere to all safety regulations and practices to ensure a safe working environment.

Requirements

Some of the jobsites are far from Lethbridge. The candidate must be able and willing to stay at hotels, motels and/or campsites away from Lethbridge for weeks at a time (potentially leaving for an out of town job site when hired).

Previous experience in construction or labor-intensive roles is preferred but not required. Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods. Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment. Willingness to learn new skills and take direction from experienced workers. Basic knowledge of construction tools and equipment is a plus.

Contract length: 3 months

Pay: $17.00-$22.00 per hour
