Job Description
LABOURERGCS General Contracting Services has immediate openings for labourers for telecom installation work in the Kelowna, Kamloops and Vernon (interior BC) areas - willing to train the right candidates.We offer competitive wages, health and dental benefits, Employee Assistance Program (EAP), and other compensation incentives.*
RESPONSIBILITIES: *
- Labourer scopes;
- Installation of fibre optic conduit;
- Shoveling and digging;
- Backfilling;
- Participate in site safety including pre-job orientations, tailgate meetings, ensure all safety paperwork is accurate and complete;
- Other drilling / labour tasks as needed.
- Prior construction labour experience an asset;
- Hard working
- Safety conscious
- Physically fit and capable of lifting +50lbs;
- Strong work ethic;
- Ability to work in a fast- paced environment with tight deadlines and repetitive tasks.
- CSTS 2020 (required)
- Ground Disturbance Level 2 would be an asset
