Reporting to the General Manager or delegates, the shop labourer position will be responsible for the clean-up of our shop, yard maintenance, painting and general assistance where required.

Responsibilities:

• Warehousing duties as assigned or required
• General clean-up and housekeeping duties as required in the shop
• Yard clean-up and maintenance
• Painting of manufactured and repaired product
• Assist tradesmen in the machining, fabrication and repair shop as required
• Communicate effectively with tradesmen on specific job requirements

Qualifications:

• High school diploma
• Mechanical aptitude, ability to grasp and learn mechanical concepts
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Self motivated and detail oriented
• Demonstrate sound judgement with an extremely high level of attention to detail
• Ability to work safely, lead by example and contribute to overall company safety.

Experience will be given to candidate who possess the following qualifications:

• Previous experience in a shop environment
• Experience with forklift operation
• Interest in apprenticeship training
