Responsibilities & Duties:
Communicates with Blower Operator prior to, during and upon completion of job
Pre-trips equipment as per Denbow procedures
Post trip installer vehicles to ensure everything is back in place or restocked.
Signs-out and brings required tools to jobsite
Adding micro-blends to loads - Eco Blanket
Brings all equipment from job site back to Denbow
Sets up hose and prepares jobsite for installation as directed by Blower Operator or Job Forman
Pneumatically installs forest by-products including chips, mulches, soils and aggregates in residential and commercial applications as directed by Blower Operator.
Installing product on slopes, rooftops with the use of specialized PPE
Liaises with clients onsite as required
Performs cleanup on jobsites to Denbow standards
Performs work in a safe manner in accordance with Denbow policies
Brings all certificates to jobsites i.e. Fall Pro cert...
Qualifications:
Working knowledge of lower mainland road systems and transportation routes
Basic understanding of math principles related to estimating and placing bulk materials (volume, depth, etc.)
Ability to safely and efficiently work around heavy equipment
Ability to quickly acquire an understanding of pneumatic blower truck operation
Ability to safely and efficiently work around heavy equipment
Basic understanding of materials and products related to landscaping applications and thorough understanding of installation criteria
Basic knowledge of current line of landscape products and services
1+ years of field experience with landscaping construction etc. is an asset
Qualities:
Must be neat and professional in appearance
Must possess good communication and interpersonal skills
Must be able to work around heavy equipment in a safe manner
Must be receptive to directions and able to efficiently carry out tasks
Must be able to professionally represent company onsite at all times
Must be environmentally conscious and solution-oriented
Must be a team player
Education:
Clean, valid class 5 driver's license
WHMS training an asset
Fall Protection Certification training an asset
Slinging and Rigging Certification training an asset
Safety Supervision Certification training an asset
Physical Aspects of Position:
Frequent walking, sitting, bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 50lbs
Regular city driving in and around the Fraser Valley - Including downtown Vancouver
Regular installation of product on rooftops - various heights
Good visual acuity and auditory levels required
Ascending and descending ladders
Safety Sensitive Position
This position is deemed as a Safety Sensitive position and will require negative result for pre-employment Drug and Alcohol testing in order to complete offer of employment for anyone who will be operating heavy equipment or company vehicles.
