At SMS Equipment our Labourers for our Reman department, are responsible for assisting trades people, while maintaining a safe and clean work environment. We are looking for someone who is positive, great in communication and a team player to join our Reman team located Acheson, AB.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Responsible for moving tools, equipment and other materials to and from work areas.
- Deliver vehicles and pick-up vehicles from customer sites.
- Washing and detailing company vehicles to quality standards
- Assisting mechanical, electrical, and body repairs of heavy equipment.
- Perform general shop clean up and equipment/parts cleaning.
- Steam clean, prepare and paint components.
- Perform other duties as required.
- Have a strong awareness and attitude towards workplace health and safety.
- Motivated and able to work in a challenging environment with minimal supervision.
This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent. One or more years training/experience in an industrial environment or a related trade would be considered an asset. A valid driver's license is required.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to operate with a forklift and crane.
- Possess above average communication, problem solving and critical thinking skills.
- The ability and attitude to ensure compliance to all workplace health and safety policies.
- Effective interpersonal skills, including tact and diplomacy with a variety of individuals and groups.
- Possess a strong work ethic, a commitment to excellence, acute safety awareness.
