Position Summary:

Reporting to the Supervisor, Labour Services, the Labourer will remain a clean, safe and efficient worksite while assisting with the overall needs of the Maintenance Department and other areas of the plant when required. In this full- time, permanent position, you are required to work in an industrial, safety sensitive work environment.

The position will be for approx. 18 months and will be based out of our Fort Saskatchewan plant site.

Accountabilities:

  • Operate mobile equipment and complete daily maintenance and checks.
  • Load, unload, or identify materials, distributing them to the appropriate locations on the plant site.
  • Complete general site clean-up and seasonal duties including snow removal and lawn maintenance.
  • Support traffic control plans including monitoring and controlling traffic in or around identified work areas.
  • Assist with the ongoing maintenance of equipment and machinery in the production business units.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Valid Class 5 Drivers License is required.
  • Preference will be given to applicants with trade experience.
  • Previous industrial site experience including operating heavy equipment is considered an asset.
  • Must be able to perform physical repetitive tasks in a safety sensitive work environment.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative and team environment.
