Position Overview:

Facilities Management (FM) is continuously improving to enhance the quality and value of the services it provides to stakeholders. The Facilities Infrastructure Analyst position is responsible for working closely with stakeholders to develop capital work plans that support community need and a state of good repair (SOGR), ensuring alignment with the City\'s sustainability, accessibility, and customer service objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify needs and update condition of facility infrastructure assets based on stakeholder feedback, known work history, and assessment results;
  • Develop and implement processes and tools used in conducting facility assets and infrastructure needs analysis and validation;
  • Identification of required infrastructure remediation, alternative approaches, and costing;
  • Perform cost-benefit analysis of remediation approaches and scheduling to maximize asset lifecycle;
  • Analyze current long-term needs and expected demands on divisions;
  • Liaise with assigned divisions to create workplans and preliminary budget estimates;
  • Supports stakeholders with planning and asset management functions i.e. data for strategic plans, decommissioning, disposal etc;
  • Facilitate work with stakeholders to prioritize integrated project plans and funding strategies i.e. grant submissions and management;
  • Integrate SOGR needs with stakeholder needs to achieve efficiencies and minimize disruptions to programs and business operations;
  • Support and plan for corporate priorities such as sustainability or accessibility goals.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 3-year diploma or degree in a related field, such as electrical, mechanical or structural engineering; building sciences; architecture or facilities management;
  • Minimum 4-7 years related experience;
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) and competency in using technical design software such as AutoCAD considered an asset;
  • Knowledge of architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical and other systems;
  • Knowledge of construction design principles, methods and costing and facility operations and maintenance practices and costs;
  • Strong organizational, research and analysis skills;
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and solve complex problems, working collaboratively with various suppliers, consultants, contractors, and partners;
  • Ability to communicate and work with various levels of internal and external contacts and to lead and earn the respect and confidence of a project team;
  • Skilled in the use of a personal computer using software packages such as Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook, MS Project, AutoCAD, Asana and Revit;
  • Ability to support and project values compatible with the organization and to participate as an effective team member.
  • Must be reliable with a good attitude and employment record.
