Reporting to the Manager, Research & Scholarly Activity Services, the Laboratory Technician provides support services by performing technical work in teaching and research laboratories. You are expected to exercise independent judgment in the performance of duties and will be responsible for supervising and maintaining all laboratory supplies, materials, equipment, and records.

The ideal candidate will have relevant education and experience which include experience preparing instructional and research materials used in appropriate laboratory, equipment maintenance, occupational hazards and standard safety practices, record keeping and strong written/oral communication skills. You are also required to have WHIMIS and a Class 5 Drivers license.

A combination of education and related experience may be considered.
