Job Description

We currently have a Regular Full Time opportunity for a Laboratory Information System Analyst in the LIS - Laboratory Services at our Bayview campus.
Hours of Work : Weekdays: Days, 8hrs; As per schedule
On call required
Statutory Holidays Required
Summary of Duties
Provides LIS support to both internal and external users, reporting directly to the LIS Manager
Supports projects to implement the objectives of the Precision Diagnostics and Therapeutics Program
Areas of Responsibility include, but are not limited to, the implementation and support of both Sunquest Lab systems, CoPath and WellSky creating validation protocols, LIS maintenance, software and hardware testing, data retrieval, documentation & developing operating policies and procedures
Develops staff training protocols using the train-the-trainer approach.
Communicates and liaises with laboratory staff, Medical/Scientific staff, management, Information Service's employees and external stakeholders
Organizes and prioritizes workflow as required
Adheres to laboratory quality management system
Provides leadership through mentorship and sharing of knowledge
Works collaboratively with staff within the Precision Diagnostics and Therapeutics Program
Qualifications/Skills
5 years recent hospital laboratory experience in Anatomic Pathology and Core Lab, with current CMLTO registration
Laboratory information system experience with CoPath and Sunquest Lab
Experience with WellSky an asset
Computer skills including Microsoft Office and SQL database management (Powerbuilder,SSRS) preferred
Demonstrates excellent problem solving skills
Demonstrates excellent leadership and interpersonal skills
Effective written and verbal communication skills required
Ability to analyze and resolve integration issues between interfaces and applications
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Ability to work with a diverse group of end users in a collaborative manner
Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
