EMSL Canada is seeking a

Laboratory Administrative Assistant

in

Mississauga, ON.

This is an administrative support position for the laboratory manager and the analysts. It will oversee the shipping, receiving, distributing, and logging in of samples.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Receive environmental samples and enter Chain of Custody into LIMS system
Review paperwork for all incoming samples to ensure completeness and correctness
Quality control of samples to ensure sample integrity
Prioritize the samples and communicate deliverables to the team
Transfer samples based on priority to appropriate custody locations
Coordinate and perform sample-related activities, including shipping and receiving, processing and administration
Generate reports, invoices, and enter data produced by analysts into the computer system for the production of the final, client ready report
Ensure the final report is prepared and that the results are reported to the client in a timely manner
Organize and stock supplies
Credit card processing
Assist with shipping and filling client order requests for pump orders, product orders, and TO-15 canisters
Calibrate product equipment
Assist with internal and external client questions via phone, e-mail, and in person
Act as a liaison between clients and laboratory staff
Other responsibilities as deemed necessary by the manager

Requirements:

High School diploma or equivalent
Experience in administration, data entry, and customer service
Proficient in MS Office
Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with clientele
Ability to work in a high volume environment
Ability to stand and sit for various lengths of time
Ability to lift up to 35lbs.
Effective time management, organizational skills, and ability to multi- task and prioritize with minimal assistance

Available Shift

:
Position is full-time, Monday to Friday 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Mississauga are encouraged to apply. The pay rate for this position is $20.00 per hour.
