Job Description

Workplace Medical Corp. (WMC

) is looking for a dynamic, take-charge Lab Technician/ Office Administrator to run our growing Occupational Health Clinics. This position is ideal for someone who can work independently, make decisions on their own and is passionate about client health and safety, and also have the ability to collaborate with a team of health professionals in the office and remotely.

Primary Responsibilities:



The core responsibilities of this role include, however not limited to:

training for all testing listed below is provided by WMC - previous experience is an asset

Clinic day to day operations and intake of patient appointments for Belleville & Kingston locations

Medical testing for clients:

Pulmonary Function Testing (including calibration)

Audiograms (Audio Certification is required - training arranged by WMC)

Orthorator; vision screen

Vitals check (Height, weight, blood pressure, pulse & BMI

Urinalysis

Drug & Alcohol Testing (Training facilitated by WMC)

Drawing blood (Experience not required but an asset)

EKG (Experience not required but an asset)

Mask Fit Testing

Review Occupational Health and Medical History forms, including medication list

Assisting & preparing client for Occupational Physician Medicals

Office Administrator Responsibilities -

office administration experience is an asset

The core responsibilities of this role include, however not limited to:

All administrative functions; scheduling appointments for multiple clinics (Occupational; Travel Health and TB Skin Testing) for Belleville and Kingston office locations; reception for clients; form completion; emailing and answering phones; filing; and specimen collection/ admin processing.

Coordinate the flow of clients in the examination and testing areas to ensure efficient use of the clinic and the Occupational Physician's schedule

Ensure documentation (i.e. client information and forms) is accurate and complete in medical chart

Liaising with medical laboratories and/or Physician offices for appropriate client documentation, when necessary

Coordinate follow-up appointments and assist with arranging complex appointments

Coordinate Occupational Physician's monthly schedule for all client clinics

Record and maintain information in electronic medical record/ client chart appropriately

Manage patient results (lab, x-ray, etc.)

Maintain confidentiality of client medical records.

Prepare examination rooms with necessary medical supplies.

Maintain all medical supplies and office inventory

Requirements preferred, but not limited to:



Medical Lab Technician experience

Medical Office Administrator experience

Post Secondary Education in Medical Administrator

Proficiency in measuring blood pressure, pulmonary function, audiograms and vision testing, drug and alcohol testing - or able to undergo training courses.

Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and work independently

Excellent customer service skills

Superior time management skills

Excellent attention to detail is required

Ability to work with confidential medical information and maintain strict confidentiality

Good communication skills (both verbal and written)

Proficient computer and dictation skills (MS Word, Excel, Outlook)

First Aid and CPR certification

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $25.00-$27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
